Function: Used for shaping your pool cue tip to either a nickel or dime radius (depending on which shaper you choose).

Description
The Willard Shaper has one singular purpose – to shape your pool cue tip.  Depending on the tool, it will shape your tip to either a nickel or dime radius.  It is sometimes described as a scuffer as well, but really the tool is meant to be solely a shaper rather than a shaper and scuffer.

Pros
As shapers go, it provides a more consistent shape to your tip than any of the multi-use tip tools that I’ve encountered.  The gauge on the side shows you when you have achieved the proper shape on your tip.  The carbide grit lasts a long time.

Cons
It only has one function, which puts it at a disadvantage to other tip tools.  While it gives a great shape, the fact that it doesn’t have any other functions means you’ll have to buy other tools to complete your tip maintenance.  It is sometimes referred to as a scuffer, but really isn’t meant to be used as a scuffer.
